Trip to Malaysia town (Baluo)

Heading out of Singapore to..
Malaysia - Ju Luan, Kluang
My colleague's hometown

Going for the weekends. Left on friday night and arrived in singapore on sunday evening.

It's an experience of a typical JB person working in Singapore heading back home.

After 20 odd years..i only knew the custom that I went passed to get to genting and some other time, is the 2nd link..haha.

It is a very small custom that has to handle a very gigantic crowd..
People actually has to queue till along the road just outside the small building
Some queues are not queues
But just a batch of people trying to squeeze through the door
As packed as a sardine can

But the queue that I was in was still alright. Still everything wasn't organised.
You can find ways to shorten your queue.

So we spent almost 2 hours to get us from je and to pass the customs
And another  2 hours to get to baluo. 😄

That shall end off day 1.

Day 2 started at 7. We overslept. Haha.
My alarm didn't work.
So we had breakfast roti prata before we adventured to nan.pa.shan. for hiking!

'Morning', 'zao' are greetings commonly said when you meet fellow hikers
And we found out that the other way down from the peak has waterfall!  😀
But then the car was at the other side so we didn't venture to the water fall.
It was a nice hike just that I forgot my knee guard..><
Bought it to Malaysia but didn't wear it...

Managed to get down after 3 hours
And we went to brunch/lunch
It's a bread and egg breakfast
And small nasi Lemak
It was delicious and cheap!
We went to a hydroponics farm if I remember correctly.

Then we decided to get back to bathe and rest.
Sleepy..
Late afternoon, I was brought to this laksa place..they called it curry noodles
It was spicy ><

And in the evening we went for food again.hahah.
Sumptuous spread of food
Crab, stingray, chicken wing, noodles, satay..

And..she brought me a ride around your area via..
Motorcycle
It was quiet and cooling.

When I looked at the sky..the number of stars..
0v0
Plentiful!
Seems to see the milky way.
It's beautiful~

No camera..so no picture
Hope to see a sky of stars again
But it's hard since I live in a land which is known for the light pollution.

Tripod

Have been researching on tripods for couple of weeks.
saw a few that ranges below 100 to 200
usd..
because it is on amazon
so if i would to translate to Sing dollars
oh man..
it's painful to my pocket
but that it is around my budget

there a few features that i am looking for

one, lightweight. because i wish to carry it around even for hiking
two, sturdy enough so that i wont get blurry photos
three, easy to use for panning purpose
four, height should be able to extend till at least 1.5m...
erm i think i exposing my height..haha.

so i have 3 tripods in mind

1) Vanguard Alta Pro 263 AB 100

looking at all the reviews and videos..
this seems like a affordable a good choice.
let me paste in the specs

it seems like passing a good equipment to an amateur who is still learning >< 

it costs 169..so it turns out to be 228 in sgd.. the extra 0.38 is so much OTL

so this will eat into my budget slightly. but i truly like it. 

Probably it can be one choice once my skills get better

quite an easy-to-remember brand.
it is known for its choice of tripod colour.
you can select a tripod of a colour that you like

considering its price, it is very tempting to buy it.

yep, it's the last mentioned tripod: slik pro 340dx.
tight budget and a lack of skills,
i think i gotten brush it up and read up and shoot more.

Day of adventure
Heading out for..
My hair

Hmm I think it has been a year since I last visited a salon😣
And now it is getting abit long and curly hair returns!

So decided to bring my hair to the salon
Not near my house
Not in town
But across the Causeway.

Hair salon is too ex in sg!

And now I m still otw to the mall
Got lost abit.. Couldn't find the bus 😫

Hopefully I will get to the place soon and find a nice and not so ex salon 😄

-1236 pm on the s1 bus.. In the midst of a traffic jam

Was feeling sleepy throughout my hair treatment
And it was only done after 4 hairs

Wasnt too ex. But dont think I wont head back for another round.
As compared to the taiwan salon, the taiwanese hair stylist'service is much better but I also paid slightly more. Overall, that is my best hair experience at an affordable price.

For this, it is abit rush.
Was thinking to cut it shorter but it seems like the hair dresser wanted to trim it for me.
Perhaps I didnt put it clear at the start.
So I sat down..she trimmed..the rebonding started..wash...treatment started..washed..steamed..trimmed.
That took me 4 hours.
It was quite tiring.

But overall, I had my hair treated. Goals met. Perhaps I will get a haircut in taiwan if I have the time.
