The Spirit of KAIZEN by Robert Maurer
Effective path to change begins with small steps of kaizen.
Interestingly, you could use Kaizen in handling people when you feel angered, frightened or stressed out, by asking:
Can you help me understand more about..?
What are your thoughts about...?
What would you suggest I tell people when they state that...?
What convinced you of this path/belief/point of view..?
Can you tell me more...?
Or you could use Kaizen in coming up with a new product/service.
By asking small questions as well:
What is the smallest way we could improve one of our products?
Is there something that embarrassed me today?Bored me? Wasted my time?
Was there anything in those situations that I could learn from?
Just have to continue to ask those questions and an answer will come eventually..
And another useful tip to handle fear and anxiety,
firstly, to relax: try the four-eight-four techniques
Take 4 seconds to breathe in
Hold it for 8 seconds
and take 4 seconds to let it out.
X 10
Probably could try using it when I feel anxiety..
While for fear, it recommends mind sculpture.
Try to imagine doing it until you are comfortable.
I guess it is good to take small little steps..and slowly make it a habit
which it will change my other ways of doing things.
Baby steps!
